We are planning to perform prompt dose rate tests on TI's ADC part number ADS1278-SP.  If we purchase the ADS1278EVM-CVAL kit and download ADCPro from your web site, can I use them to collect ADC performance data such as dose rate upset and dose rate latch-up during the prompt dose rate tests?

    Hello Ravindran,

    The device on the ADS1278EVM-CVAL is not suitable for radiation testing.  In addition, the board layout will not accommodate radiation testing due to the proximity of standard commercial parts.  We had a custom board designed and populated with full QML rated parts for the radiation tests.

    Please refer to this application note that explains the differences between the TI ENG units and full QML devices.
