Hello, is there a chance to set the default firmware for the TSW1400EVM Capture Card? Can I permanently load one of the RBF firmwares onto this kit using HSDC Pro or a different GUI? If I can't load it, which SPI pins are used for firmware update? Do you have any documentation regarding firmware updates? I'm developing a library to transfer data from TSW1400EVM to a Linux device, and I need this information.

Hi Furkan,

Unfortunately, we don't support FW development on the TSW1400. This and the original FW was developed by an outside source/vendor from TI. The TSW1400EVM is now obsolete as well.

It would be best to use this data capture card from Diglent: https://digilent.com/shop/nexys-video-artix-7-fpga-trainer-board-for-multimedia-applications/

And develop your own FW to interface with the ADS5409EVM.

Hello again, I bought the TSW1400EVM just 3 months ago. Therefore, it is not possible for me to get another card. Actually, what I'm asking is which pins are programmed by the GUI. I think it looks like it's done via JTAG pins. Also, isn't it possible to make the firmware I threw permanent? Because there is only one interface I use anyway. If I can make it permanent, I won't need to program via JTAG.

Furkan,

There is no way to store programming onto the FPGA board. You will need to load it after every power cycle or have an external way to flash it via JTAG.
