Hi team,

Here is a question one of our customers is experiencing, could you please provide some troubleshooting suggestions?

After the GUI is installed, an error is reported every time it is opened. What is the problem? Is there a compatibility conflict between the GUI and Python or Windows? Is there a solution?

The OS is Windows 10. Download the GUI from the link below:

Please send a picture of the EVM? Was this EVM recently ordered out of PDC stock or did we send this EVM to the customer some time ago before release?

Thanks for your response.

Did you mean it might be related to the EVM version? A photo of the EVM is shown below.

The current situation is that this software can be installed normally on some computers, but some computers will report an error. Is this likely an issue with the EVM board version?

Hey Amy,

Could you verify if that DLL that was mentioned was installed on the PC? It could be an issue with Windows and having the right privileges.

Yes, it has been installed, The location is C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\DAC39RF10 EVM GUI\supportfiles\bin\TI_FTDIx64.dll

Is there a possible reason mentioned in the screenshot below in the link below?

The DLL is a 64 bit binary. The version of Python that was used to build the GUI is also 64 bit Python. Just curious, what version of Windows is your pc running? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit?

Both Python and Windows running on the PC are 64-bit, is this GUI anything that needs to be pre-installed or configured?

Hey Amy,

Could you try downloading FT_PROG and seeing if displays the connected EVM. I think this may be an FTDI driver issue..

The customer's issue has been resolved. Customer feedback is as follows:

It was a driver issue and it was not possible to open in emulation mode before, but other GUIs were able to open normally in emulation mode. I hope that you can record this problem and let the technician make some improvements in the future. Thank you for your help.
