Could TI provide a working solution. Kind regards, Ed

  • Hello Ed,

Welcome to the TI E2E community.

We will need a few weeks to get a new version on ti.com, but in the meantime, you should be able to follow the below FAQ to get the drivers properly installed.

When installing the GUI, you can skip/abort the driver installation and manually install the driver by following the procedure shown in [FAQ] How do I resolve PAMB EVM connectivity and/or driver installation issues - Data converters forum - Data converters - TI E2E support forums.

The only difference from the FAQ procedure is to point to the INF file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\ADS1278 EVM\PHI Driver\ (not the INF file shown in the FAQ).

Please let me know if you were able to get this to work.

Also note that this GUI is for the new V2 version of the EVM, ADS1278V2EVM-PDK that uses the PHI data capture card.  If you have the original version that uses the MMB0 data capture board, then you will need to install the ADS1278EVM-PDK-SW plug-in as well as the ADCPro software.

  • Version 2.2 works fine. However I have interfaced the board with a NXP mimxrt1170 mcu and managed to program and readout the ADS1278EVM successfully. Thank you for the support.
