ADC3683EVM: What are now the best tools to evaluate this?

Now I have spent time reading and re-reading the information about the two boards I realise this -

1. The TSW14J50EVM uses an Intel/Altera Arria V FPGA that has been programmed to provide a JESD204 interface, but

2. the TSW1418EVM has a totally different FPGA, a Xilinx Artix that has been programmed to use the serial LVDS interface used by the ADC3683.

In theory of course the TSW14J50 could probably be reprogrammed to implement the serial LVDS interface, but it appears that it hasn't been developed to do that.

Of course, any code developed for the Artix FPGA could not be used on the system based on the Arria V, as they are totally different devices, not even the same manufacturer...

So I need to return the TSW14J50 that was ordered by a colleague in a bout of enthusiasm for the project, and ask for them to order a TSW1418 instead.

If I am wrong, and it is possible to use the TSW14J50, if the system can be programmed to do that, then can someone please quickly say so.

But I think that this is the answer to my problem - and the signposts out there still saying that the TSW1418EVM is Obsolete really are not helpful - e.g. Digikey (but Mouser does not have that message).

I did also see on the TI website somewhere something that strongly suggested that the TSW14J50EVM was compatible with the ADC3683... I have a screengrab of it, but can't surrently find where I saw it.
