I'm looking to use the ADS8320SKGD1 (die) 16-bit A-to-D converter in an MCM for an application requiring TID (total ionizing dose) radiation performance of 50 krad(Si). I understand that the ADS8320 is NOT an inherently radiation tolerant or radiation hard part. However, what we're looking to do is enhance its radiation performance by the use of shielding of the MCM package. In order to perform the analysis to determine if the ADS8320's radiation performance can be increased to 50 krad or higher using shielding and if so, how much shielding we would need to achieve that, I'm going to need to know either the part's (or it's technology's) inherent total ionizing dose performance level and/or something about the process technology used to manufacture the part.
