ADS1014 measurement

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1014

Hi,
Customer would like to measurement the Voltage and have the following question:
What does it means Negative input or single-ended channel 2 input?
Thanks,
Shlomi

The ADS1014 can be configured to connect with 2 singled-ended signals or 1 differential signal.

The differential signal is defined by a positive input, AIN0, and negative (inverting) input, AIN1.  The differential signals are typically referenced to a common mode voltage. Differential inputs would allow for a negative signal to be input to the ADC that is powered by a single supply (example +5V).

Single ended signals would be defined by two signals on AIN0 and AIN1.
