ADS7138-Q1: CRC_ERR_IN - Reset

Part Number: ADS7138-Q1

Hi Team,

From the datasheet description, we try to reset the bit "CRC_ERR_IN" by write "1" to it.

Customer report that the status is still the same after writing "1" to it.

1. I would like to confirm whether writing "1" to this bit is the right way to reset it?

2. If writing 1 to it is correct? Maybe we failed due to incorrect I2C write format.

So we use below format for writing "1" to it instead of the format in chapter "8.3.9.1 Input CRC (From Host To Device)", am I right?

Try to clarify any possibility that might cause failed writing.

Kindly share your comment with us.

Thank you.

  • Hi Evan,

Writing 1 to the CRC_ERR_IN bit would clear it assuming you have written the correct CRC data to start with.  You need to follow the detail in section 8.3.9 and compute the CRC for the command first.  Refer to Figure 8-5 and the CRC calculator tool for the ADS7xx8:
