DAC8565: Request for confirmation regarding DAC8565 component defect issue

Part Number: DAC8565

Hi, TI expert

The customer suspects a component defect in the DAC8565ICPWR used in the product during the production process.

(Problem occurred)
As the Vref voltage value is measured high, the Analog Output value gradually increases and exceeds 0.1% Accuracy.

For detailed information regarding defects, please check the Test Report attached below.

Customer have been using the DAC8565ICPWR for production since the past, and there have been no issues so far. However, we have recently encountered the same problem as described above and suspect a component defect.

As a result, we requested analysis through TI Product Return, but received a response from BU asking us to further confirm with the BU team through TI E2E and obtain consent from BU that an investigation under FA is necessary. (CPR241098914)

Therefore, please review the relevant information, and if you suspect a defective part, please confirm so that a defect analysis can be performed.

Thank you.

  • Hi Grady,

Thank you for the additional information. This request has reached us through email, and we will provide updates through that channel.

    Thanks,
    Erin

  • Hi, Erin

We have not yet received any separate update information.

After conveying the response to E2E through the initially submitted TI Product Return, we requested a review of the defect again, but received a response from the application team to take follow-up action as shown below.

The customer is requesting quick confirmation of areas where defect analysis is not in progress.

Could you please check the progress? Which channel does the reply come from after the update?

  • Hi Grady,

We currently have an email thread with Maria Ko. I will add you to the email thread.

    Thanks,
    Erin
