ADC12DJ3200QML-SP: Thermal Information for CLGA and CCGA

According to the datasheet, Thermal Information for CLGA and CCGA are same. Is this correct?

In my understanding, CCGA has solder columns while CLGA doesn't has solder columns. Is it OK that solder columns don't make any differences of thermal peformances?

Hi Noriyuki-san,

The datasheet thermal table has a foot-note that clearly indicates the differences between LGA and CGA.

Do you mean the table below? I can see the foot-note about Junction-to-case (bottom) thermal resistance, but I couldn't find any descriptions about other parameters like theta_JA.

Yes, that is the table.

Theta JA is the first parameter on the table.

Sorry, but please let me ask again. Thermal Information for CLGA and CCGA are same according to the table exept for Junction-to-case (bottom) thermal resistance. Is this correct?

Customer jsut ask this just in case, because CCGA and CLGA are different packages.

I think what is not highlighted well in the datasheet is that the customer should not buy a CLGA package device, unless they understand that they will need to put their own balls or columns on it.

Customer's original quesiton is to confirm whether the thermal information for CLGA and CCGA below is correct.
