What are good tools to use when developing with the MSC parts? Just need to poke at registers and memory locations.

Tim,

All of the MSC tools and information can be found at the ftp site:

ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/data_acquisition/MSC_CD-ROM/

Usually a simple terminal program (hyperterminal, etc.) can be connected to the RX/TX inputs (at proper voltage levels) to get the information you require.
