Hi,
If I need using in 16V application, becasue of ADC121S021only support to 5.5V.
How can I add some derating schematic or other solution can choose?
Thanks!
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
You can attenuate with a resistive divider and then use a buffer to feed the input to the ADS121S021.
Hi Tom.
Is it advisable to use ADC121S021 for voltage division of 16V using resistors? Can it achieve an accuracy of 0.1V? Thanks!
Jeff
Hi Jeff,
the ADC121S021 is a 12-bit converter. If you scale the resistive divider such that 16V = Full Scale input to the ADC121S021, you should have 4096 output codes which represent ~3.9mV/code.
Hi Tom,
So no need any buffer, just using resistive divider is fine? I saw you mentioned using a buffer to feed the input. thanks!
If you are looking for more than 100mV of resolution, you might need a buffer. I suspect you would get what you are looking for without a buffer.
Hi Tom,
You mean if I just achieve an accuracy of 0.1V, it no need any buffer, just using a divide resistor if fine? thanks!
