ADS1299-4: Question about ADS1299-4 digital power range.

Part Number: ADS1299-4
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1292R, ADS1298R

Hello guys,

One of my customers is considering using ADS1299-4 for their new products.

At this moment, they have the following question.
Could you please give me your reply?

Q.
ADS1299-4 datasheet says that Digital power supply is 1,8V(Min), 1.8V(Nom), 3.6V(Max).
The customer apply 1.8V to ADS1299-4 as the digital power supply because another logic circuits uses 1.8V.
This voltage may be lower a little than 1.8V depend on production variation.
If the digital power supply voltage is just a little below 1.8V, will ADS1299-4 digital operation stop?

Also why are the nominal and the minimum voltage same?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Kazuya.

  • Hi Kazuya-san - please excuse our delay. Do you still need help with this?

    Regards,

    Ryan

  • Hi Ryan,

Thank you very much for your reply and I'm sorry to be late my response.

Yes, it is very helpful for the customer and me if you answer to the question.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Kazuya.

  • Hi Kazua-san,

As long as the DVDD supply is within 100 mV of 1.8 V, I would still expect the digital core and interface to work properly. It is strange to see the minimum and nominal values listed as the same in the data sheet. Other ADS129x devices (ADS1292R, ADS1298R) show a nominal DVDD supply voltage of 1.8 V and a minimum of 1.65 V to 1.7 V.

    Regards,

    Ryan

  • Hi Ryan,

Than you very much for your reply.
