Hi DAC team,
I have a customer developing a product that requires several DACs in the system to be controlled concurrently (for some but not necessarily all DACs). DAC requirements are as follows:
- Capable of differential output
- +/-10V out preferred with capability to set to +/-5V or from 0V to a positive voltage
- 100 ns or better settling time (our trigger pulse is in the range of 2.5us and we want to resolve/set some of our analog values in a fraction of that time)
- Low bit error rate
- Preferred communication to DACs is SPI (we might have long lines across system that need some noise immunity) but parallel option would be nice for some DACs that require immediate servicing.
- Single or dual channel DAC chip is preferred because we would like to have the DACs run concurrently in some cases.
- Pretty sure we need a buffered output
- Readily available and price competitive would be nice.
Attached is a DAC that was initially proposed (AD3552). This DAC meets their requirements, but they would like to see what TI has to offer. The bomcross tool recommended the DAC2932, but the settling time may be too slow. Can you help me find some TI DACs that would work?
Thanks,
Sarah
