ADS1299EEGFE-PDK: ADS1299EEGFE-PDK software

Part Number: ADS1299EEGFE-PDK

When I used the software, I found that when I set "samples/CH" to exceed 460000, it would happen that the data could not be read and Retrieving data would take a very long time.(As shown in Figure 1)

The process is very long.(As shown in Figure 2)

I want to know how to solve it.

  • Hello Chen,

    Thank you for your post.

It sounds like requested sample size is beyond the memory limit on the motherboard for the EVM-PDK (MMB0). 450,000 points is enough for nearly 30 seconds of data. I'm not sure of the exact limit, but I would suggest to reduce the capture size to < 100k samples per channel. This should be enough data for time and frequency domain analysis of the ADC signal chain.

  • Thank you Ryan for your reply

In my project, I must use a Date Rate of more than 10K, continuously sample for 10 minutes, and then output and store the data.
So I set 16k(sps)*10(min)*60(s)=9600k(samples per channel) and found that this is not feasible (Sample size exceeds memory limit on EVM-PDK motherboard).

If I reduce the number of samples per channel by using the "CONTINUOUS" measurement method, measure and record to reach 10 minutes, but I found that it cannot be saved when using "CONTINUOUS".

Is there any solution if I use other communication methods such as SPI, or is there any other solution?

  • Hi Chen,

Unfortunately, we cannot provide support to collect and store such large amounts of data.
