ADS1278: Physical details

It appears from the datasheet that the ADS1278 has a metal bottom, it that correct? Will running traces underneath the component be a probelm?

    Hi Charles Wolfe,

    Please consult the datasheet for info about the thermal pad and how to connect it to the PCB

    To answer your question, no, you should not run traces under the device as the thermal pad should be connected (soldered) to the PCB as per the instructions below
