ADS8689: ADC circuit question

Our product uses ADS8689, which collects an analog signal that is a sine wave with a bias of 2.5V. AIN_P is connected to the analog signal, but we are not sure if AIN_GND can be connected to a bias voltage of 2.5V, and whether this connection is allowed.

    Hi Jintao,

    Yes, the ADS8689 will handle a pseudo-differential input configuration like you described, meaning you can apply your signal at AIN_P and a DC shift at AIN_GND. Keep in mind that the voltage AIN_P − AIN_GND should not exceed your input range voltages, and that voltages at AIN_P and AIN_GND should not exceed the absolute maximum ratings in the datasheet. 

    However, applying a voltage outside ±0.1 V at AIN_GND goes against datasheet recommendations, and performance cannot be guaranteed in this case.
