ADC32RF55EVM: How to rewrite registers of LMK04832 by EVM GUI tool

Part Number: ADC32RF55EVM

Hi teams,

According to the "Quick Start Procedure" in the ADC32RF5xEVM User Guide, LMK output is generated by referring to external CLK2.56GHz.

In addition to the above method, CLK can also be generated from the oscillator output CLK100MHz on the board. In this case, the LMK register needs to be rewritten, but is it possible to process the LMK register with ADC32RF5x GUI tool? If possible, could you please tell me how to rewrite it?

  • Taito,

This was included for internal testing to see if this would be a good option for clocking this adc and achieving datasheet performance from the device while saving a signal generator to use as the input clock. This is not advised and will be removed from the next revision of this board. The input signal will not be coherent as the oscillator cannot be directly reference locked to any external source. The LMK registers cannot be written with this gui. If the customer is interested, I can provide example code to control the ADC and LMK through python using a dll for communication through the ftdi usb chip. Let me know.
