ADS1118: NOP Field Indicates Invalid Data

Part Number: ADS1118

For part ADS1118IDGST, in Page 27 of datasheet (Table 7) NOP field = 00 was interpreted as invalid data. I have recently encountered this response in an application and been wondering what does that actually mean? Thanks!

Hi Runyu,

When writing to the the configuration register, the NOP field must be '01' in order for the configuration register data to be updated.

Any other value, and the write to register command will be invalid, and the configuration register setting will not be updated:
