ADS131E08: Unused Bias Amplifier for ADS131E08

Part Number: ADS131E08

Hello All,

I'm using the ADS131E08IPAGR on a medical sensor. I am trying to reduce the power consumption of my board as much as I can to help out with our strain gage drift problems. Basically the lowest power consumption will give us the best analog performance as the sensor heats up.

In the ADS131E08 datasheet, I saw this on page 49: "Power down the Bias amplifier if unused and float OPAMPOUT and OPAMPN. Tie OPAMPP directly to AVSS or leave floating if unused."

In my schematic, I have OPAMPOUT, OPAMPN, OPAMPP floating and disconnected.

My question is how we actually power down the bias amplifier to save even more power.

Our software engineer for this project looked through the datasheet and couldn’t find what registers control the bias amplifier. Can you please let us know?
