Welcome to our e2e forum! The ADS8320 Dout goes tri-state after time 'tDIS' as noted in Table 1 (pg. 14) and Figure 34 (pg. 25) of the datasheet.
Hi Tom,
I noted that but there is no mention of pullup or output sink current anywhere in the datasheet, neither in table or figure, and CMOS output logic levels are provided in table §6.5 in such a way that DOUT is not open drain. In my design DOUT is acquired through a 74LVC541 buffer so should i add a pull-up on buffer input or not ?

Hi Oliver,
You do not need a pull-up on the DOUT line for proper operation of the ADS8320. Adding one would not hurt anything, so the decision in the end is up to you.
