I have a question regarding the power sequencing of the DAC8728. A few years ago, one of your engineers

responded that the power supplies could be applied in any order and then the RST pin could be used to

ensure the proper operation of the device. I would like to confirm this information.

Is it necessary to follow a specific power sequence, or is it sufficient to reset the device after all the

power supplies have been applied?

Hi,

Page 41 of the datasheet has some information about power sequencing:

It recommends IOVDD > DVDD > AVDD > AVSS.
It also mentions digital pins must be applied before or at the same time as DVDD.

I would follow this guidance, especially the portions that say "must" instead of "should".

for your response. I was hoping to simplify the application with the DAC8728,

but if you consider that power sequencing is necessary, could you recommend a suitable device for this task?

Hi Arek,

The DAC81408 is pin-for-pin with a flexible output configuration. There is no power sequencing required for it as well.
