Tool/software:

I have located a curious old manual, which Phil Wright asked about in a post 6 years ago.
Phil Wright:
I am trying to obtain a 1977 TI publication entitled, "TMS 1976 Capacitive Touch Keyboard Interface Manual,' as well as related spec sheets, data sheets, and application notes for the TMS 1976 IC. I would be grateful if you could send me a copy of the documentation or direct me to a link to the documentation I am seeking. If it would be helpful, you may contact me by phone +1-970-219-8800, or email philwright@wrtassoc.com.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Phil,
This manual is over 40 years old, and unfortunately I do not find it in any of our archived documentation. If anything comes up, we will let you know.
Regards,
~Leonard
The manual is archived here:
TMS1976 Capacitive-Touch Keyboard Controller (1977).
Texas Instruments Records, Accession 89-14, Box 6c Folder 46, DeGolyer Library, Southern Methodist University. Dallas, TX.
The Records are open to the public--see the library's website.
You might be surprised: the Texas Instruments Records preserve more than one thousand manuals from the period 1960 to 1983, and a few hundred data books from 1983-1993. Other internal documents archived here can provide unique context for Texas Instruments semiconductors designed in that period. For example: the TMS32010 and 2nd generation 320.
The main focus of the records was, I gather, the history and management philosophy of Texas Instruments.
