We are designing the EEG data acquisition system with ADS1299, and we are considering using a Vega processor instead of any other controller. Could you please address the following questions. Thank you

Is the ADS1299 suitable for the Vega processor board?

What are the values used for filtering in the ADS1299 AFE? Also, which is the best pre-amplifier used in ADS1299 for data acquisition?

Additionally, is it necessary to use any ESD protection diode, and if so, what is the best ESD diode that we can use for ADS1299?

Hello Ashwin,

Thank you for your interest in our ADS1299.

The ADS1299 is suitable for any processor which supports SPI communication at the I/O levels and speeds described in the device datasheet.

Each channel contains a low-noise PGA front-end, which offers very low input bias current. External pre-amplification should not be necessary.

The device includes internal ESD diodes. Additional device protection circuitry may be needed for your application in the form of current-limiting resistors, Zener or TVS diodes, etc. Specific diode recommendations is generally beyond the scope of our support through the E2E forums.
