ADS54J60: HDL Core

Part Number: ADS54J60
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC39J84

Tool/software:

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

We have previously used Latte/TI JESD 204 core for AFE79xx...

Currently, I'm looking to use ADS54Jxx, just wondering if the HDL core is the same, and if there is an example HDL reference design.

Finally, what the SW used to drive the SPI programming is.

Regards,

TI-CSC

  • Hi,

Yes, the same IP core is used for any JESD ADC device.

Unfortunately, the spi programming was done by a third party vendor that we are no longer working with.

All GUI SW was developed in Labview.

  • Hello Rob,

    Good day.

Does an example VHDL/Verilog HW design exist that show how to use the JESD204B/C core with this part?

Are there datafiles and/or constants, even hexadecimal that were used for SPI programming that can be forwarded?  An example of any sorts we can start with?

We are also looking to interface to the DAC39J84.  Same questions, is there a HDL HW and SPI SW design that can be forwarded to us?

We could use something/anything as a starting point.  Thanks.

What is this LabView GUI SW that can be used?  What is it called?  Does it work without the SPI SW?  Can it be downloaded on TI website?

  • Hi,

I think it would be best for the customer to reach out to us directly, so we know what they are trying to do.

Yes, SPI GUI SW is located on each respective TI device webpage.

    Rob
