ADS7028: Idvvd

Tool/software:

I have an application that requires very low operating current. The datasheet for the ADS7028 tells me that the Iavdd is about 600uA with a linear relationship with samples per second. However it doesn't mention Idvdd.

Can you tell me Idvdd when the device is in autonomous mode, i.e. no SPI communication. My power budget is around 100uA.

Hi,

Rail voltage for both analogue and digital will be +3.3V. Unless there is a good case to change this.

Hi Andrew,

If you'd like to minimize operating current for this device, would it be possible to implement 1.8V logic into your design?

It would be possible, but I guess it depends on the saving. At the moment we are running from a lithium cell directly, so as long as the power saving is more than the cost to regulate to 1.8V, then it's worth considering.

Understood. At the moment we don't have any data to share with you. However, you can use the information below to help estimate your digital supply current consumption. I expect that it will be well below your specified threshold since the digital supply won't be driving the digital IO for the most part.
