ADS1261: Inquiry for recommendation of replacement product for AD7730BRUZ

Hi, TI expert.

Our customer is currently using AD7730BRUZ (ADI) and has an inquiry about a replacement product.

In TI cross-reference, ADS1261BIRHBR was searched, but I am not sure if it is the most suitable device.

Can you recommend a suitable replacement with equivalent specifications?

    Hello Grady,

    We also have the ADS1235 as an option to consider. This has similar specifications to the AD7730, but it does not achieve the gain of 250. Is this a requirement for your customer?

    ADS1261 and ADS1235 were suggested to the customer as replacement products, but the customer said that pin-to-pin would be better and wanted a gain specification of up to Max 250.

    Upon checking, it seems that AD7730 (ADI) and Pin-to-Pin products are not available.
    Although it is not Pin-to-Pin, is there a part with equivalent specifications that has a gain specification of up to 250?

    Hello Grady,

    Although the ADS1261 does not have a gain setting of 250 we have significantly better noise performance at higher data rates. If you look at the noise table on page 24 in the ADS1261 datasheet and page 10 in the AD7730 datasheet you can see that our RMS noise and effective resolution is better. 

    We do not have any devices currently released that can achieve a gain of 250.
