ADS1278: Materials

Tool/software:

The description in your data sheet is: Creramic quad flatpack with flat leads brazed to non-conductive tie bar, Hermetically sealed with metal lid, leads are gold plated

I need to know the materials used.

What alloy are the leads made of?

Is there a nickel underplate under the gold plate on the leads?

What alloy is the lid made of?

Is the lid plated?

What alloy is used as a seam sealer between the lid and package?

What braze alloy is used between the leads and tie bar?

    Well that wasn't helpful. I just need answers to my questions. Not a page of ROHS materials declarations. We build space hardware and we need to understand the materials we place in our assemblies. I'd expect this to have Kovar leads plated with nickel and gold. Maybe the lid is Kovar too and the lid attach is done with a gold tin solder. do the leads have a tin finish or just gold. If you won't share because it's proprietary then say so and we'll decide what to do from there.

    Is there a nickel underplate under the gold plate on the leads?

    • Yes

    What alloy is the lid made of?

    • This is a ceramic Lid

    Is the lid plated?

    • No

    What alloy is used as a seam sealer between the lid and package?

    • AuSn (Solder)

    What braze alloy is used between the leads and tie bar?

    • This is a Non Conductive Tie Bar (NIAu)
