Hi Team,
May I have your help to check below setting for PT100 3-wire RTD?
DVDD=AVDD=2.4V
- Excitation Current=250ua
- Gain=8
- Update rate=20 SPS

Hi Wayne,
These settings should be okay, depending on your circuit.
Do you have a schematic you can share?
Please reference our application note for additional information on 3-wire RTD configurations: A Basic Guide to RTD Measurements (Rev. A) (ti.com)
The following circuit examples show how to interface different 3-wire RTD configurations with our ADC's and are a good reference point for your design.
For a 3-wire RTD configuration using a single IDAC, you can follow the example from Figure 2-4.
Make sure to select an Rbias resistance that will not violate the IDAC compliance voltage for your selected excitation current value.
Best Regards,
Angel
Hi Angel,
I used RTD cacultaor to update the circuit. The adjusted usage parameters are as follows. Please help to check below setting for Pt100 3-Wire RTD.
1. DVDD=AVDD=2.4V
2. PGA gian=32
3. IDAC current=100uA

Hi Jerry,
The schematic and parameters should be okay.
Let me know if any additional questions/concerns arise.

Angel
Hi Angel,
In addition to current limiting, do R_MISC and R_PROTECT have other functions?
Jerry
Hi Jerry,
R_MISC_H is any miscellaneous resistance added to the high side, and R_MISC_L is any miscellaneous resistance on the low side, which may account for parasitic resistance that may be present, or added.
R_PROTECT is for current limiting/protection of the device/IDAC.

Angel
