TI-JESD204-IP: IP Release-v1.12 compatibility with Vivado 2023.1

Part Number: TI-JESD204-IP

Tool/software:

Dear TI team,

I was granted access to the above-mentioned version of the TI JESD204 IP encrypted source code last month. From what I read at the TI forums, this version of the IP should be supported by Vivado 2023.x. However, when I try to load the reference design (zc706_8b10b) in Vivado 2023.1 on my Windows 11 PC referring the steps given in sub-section 8.5 of the TI204c-IP Users Guide and generate the bitfile, I get the following error message:

Could you kindly guide me on this? I look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Sukhdeep

  • I am facing the same issue even with Vivado 2022.2. I have just read in the files as per sub-section 8.5 of the TI204c-IP Users Guide, i.e., 'TI_204c_IP.svp', 'TI_204c_IP_entity.sv' from the 'TI_204c_CoreIP' folder, and all the .sv, .xci and .vh files from the 'zc706_8b10b' folder in reference designs.
I keep the source files as they are, and just change the numer of Tx and Rx lanes to 4 each. When I try to run implementation, the same error occurs.

    Kindly guide me!

  • Hi Sukhdeep,

I am closing this post as this was answered over email. The issue you were seeing was caused by importing the 'TI_204c_IP_entity.sv' file to the design.

Only the 'TI_204c_IP.svp' file from the 'TI_204c_CoreIP' folder is required in the reference designs.
