TSC2046E: Pull-up resistor configuration for SPI interface

Part Number: TSC2046E

Tool/software:

Dear experts

We have completed the debugging of the touch screen. And it works.

As shown in the screenshot, I have removed all the pull-up resistors, and the pin configuration in the software has no pull-up and pull-down resistors. My question is whether the SPI interface has been configured with the corresponding pull-up or pull-down resistors inside the TSC2046E chip? I don't see relevant information in the data sheet.

  • Hi,

I do not think that the TSC2046E has internal pull-down or up resistors for the SPI lines. SPI by definition uses push-pull, so it should not need pull up or down resistors. On the other hand, I2C does require pull up resistors because it uses open drain. I hope this helps and let me know if you need more assistance with your design.

    Best,
    Mir
