ADS1286: ADS1286UL/2K5

Part Number: ADS1286

Tool/software:

We purchased this part from TI shop ,but find the topmarking is ADS, 1286U   lost a letter  "L" as your datasheet writtien

could you help check this difference ,and why ?

thank you

  • Hello Zhang,

I am not sure why the ADS1286U was shipped instead of the ADS1286UL. Do you have the receipt or shipping information? I can try and check what caused the issue.

From my understanding the main difference between the two devices is the INL spec and is highlighted on page 3 of the data sheet.

Let me know if this answers your question.

    Regards,
    Josh

  • Hello,

Thanks for your answer , but the fact is that you shipped the correct MPN on label ;  please find the attached pictures

Just the marking is not met your spec of datasheet , so please help double check this

  • hello  , could you help give your fast confirmation quickly ?

urgent case , thanks a  lot

  • Hello Zhang,

Sorry for the delay here. We are able to confirm, based on the information in the pictures you sent above, that the material is the ADS1286UL even though the marking does not match. We are working to confirm why the symbolization is not correct. We believe a PCN (Product Change Notice) may have been sent out explaining that the symbolization on the material would change. Once we identify which PCN has the information I will send it to you.

    Regards,
    Josh

  • Hello,  Josh

one week passed , could you give the PCN to us today ?  delay so long , it will affect our production plan

    thanks

  • Hello Zhang,

Here is the PCN where we outlined that the top marking of the device will be changed:

    Regards,

    Josh

  • hello, i checked your PCN ,but i am not clear the changed information , seems not related my question;   the marking "ADS1286U " currently we purchased type in not matched your spec in datasheet "ADS1286UL"  ,  so could you help double check it ?

  • hello ,can you help check and reply us this issue quickly , till now we have not got your resolved solution for our question ;  this delay will affect our shortage

  • Hello Zhang,

in the PCN the "Post Symbol Marking" is removed in the new markings. This is represented by the notation B in the left side of the picture you sent. In the right side of the picture the letter B is removed. Unfortunately the picture in the PCN does not do a good job representing where the post symbol marking would normally be placed on the topside marking.

Let me know if this answers your question.

    Regards,

    Josh

  • not  yet, here i want to express our troubles once again ; we found the current  topside marking is ADS1286U for part  ADS1286UL/2K5 of you shipped , then we checked your datasheet , and found it was said the topside marking is ADS1286UL  , is not met the topside marking on body :ADS1286U  ,  missing a letter "L"

do you understand our true question clear now  ?

  • Hello Zhang,

Yes, I Understand the question you are asking. The letter "L" was removed from the topside of the device per the PCN I have sent over. If you notice in the PCN on the left side of the image (underlined) there is text describing a "POST SYMBOL MARKING". On the datasheet and previous iterations of the topside marking this marking was the letter "L". On the right side of the PCN image the "POST SYMBOL MARKING" is removed meaning the letter "L" is removed from the topside marking of future manufactured devices. The datasheet was not updated, but the PCN explains that the letter "L" was removed from the ADS1286UL/2k5.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,
    Josh

  • OK ,it is clear now ;yes i noticed the B line text on our PCN,  but do not understanding the meanings , thank you for explaining details so clearly
