ADS8588SEVM-PDK: How to use it to learn ADC

I have tried your suggestions and it works. I also reviewed the user's guide. Does it mean that the input signal can be input both through SMB and header? 

Also, i want to use GUI's linearity analysis to see the DC spec of ADC, I clicked the Capture Button but it didn't have any response. Does this test require a special input signal? How to use linearity analysis in the right way?

Yes, you can apply a signal via the SMA connectors.  You can check linearity by inputting a DC source to one of the analog inputs.

Hello Tom, i reviewed the D/S of ADS8588S and found the internal reference provides a 4V reference voltage to ADC. And i guess the 2V that EVM acquired when the input if floating is from half of the 4V reference voltage. Is my guess correct? And what's the internal structure that leads to the 1/2 voltage divider?  Thank you~

Also, if i want to use external voltage reference, are there any limitation (VREFmin~VREFmax) on the output voltage of the REF? Does it must be 2.5V or any REF whose VOUT is between the limitation is OK?

There is no particular structure internal to the ADC that lets the floating input reach ~2V - that's due mainly to the switched capacitor architecture of the device.  An external reference of 2.5V can be used if desired, the limitations are shown as Vrefio_ext on page 9 of the datasheet.
