Hi Team,

Currently, customer use TSC2046E with 2 problem which needs your help, thanks in advance:

Question about the BUSY signal:

From datasheet, when the CS signal is high, the BUSY signal is in high impedance state.

The question is under what conditions can BUSY be high even if CS is high? The attached screenshot is the abnormal waveform captured after the TSC2046 is initialized:
Question about the interrupt PENIRQ signal:

Set PENIRQ signal is high when idle. From datasheet, when the touch screen is clicked, an interrupt will be generated when the channel is sampled, and multiple interrupts will be generated in one cycle.

However, when the touch screen is clicked on customer board, the PENIRQ signal is always low. What is the reason for this?

BTW, customer use AM62 and its resource library, whether we have test this device with a AM62 and its software codes?

Hi Francis,

1. BUSY signal is normally high when CS is high. However, BUSY might remain high if a conversion has started and was interrupted and not completed correctly. Please see timing diagram of figure 9, 11, 12, and 13.

2. This could be improper configuration of control register. You can set control byte to 0X9B making touch active to set an interrupt

AM62 could work as the host mcu to program this device.
