ADC12DJ3200: SYSREF

Part Number: ADC12DJ3200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01022, LMX2594

Tool/software:

In the reference design TIDA-01022, if the SYSREF of the ADC12DJ3200 is implemented as a single pulse clock, does it mean that only DC coupling can be used with the LVPECL interface? What should be done if the LMX2594 does not support the LVCECL interface?

  • The ADC12DJ3200 supports both AC and DC coupling of the SYSREF pins. To run in continuous mode then you would AC couple and to run SYSREF as a single pulse or multiple short pulses you will have to DC couple correct. If the Clock chip providing the SYSREF does not support the VCM and swing requirements of the sysref signal you could try using an amplifier to adjust the common mode and swing to enable it to be DC coupled.

  • Hi,Kleckner

Does TI have a chip that can convert the LMX2594 RFOUTB output signal to an LVPECL signal? Could you recommend one?

    Best Regards.

  • Hi Gu,

Yes we have a large range of amplifiers you could pick from that would fit this requirement. I do not have a part number off the top of my head that could work here though.
