AFE5832LP: initialization

Part Number: AFE5832LP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE58JD32LP

Tool/software:

Hi,
Please tell me about the initialization of the AFE5832LP.
(1) What kind of malfunctions are expected to occur if the contents of section 10.4 of the datasheet are not performed?
(2) Are the following three registers the only ones related to "1. Write all bits marked 1 in all the register maps"?
・address 0x3 bit[4]
・address 0xD1 bit[2:0]
・address 0xD4 bit[0]
Regards,

  • PLL reset is there in initialization  . If not done capture might not work properly . But what is the issue you are facing to do the initialization ? Why do you need this info?

Reg 0x90H bit 10 is marked 1 in datasheet

  • HI,
    Thanks.
Currently, I have not performed this initialization, but it seems to work without any problems.
    Is this possible?
It is easy to guess the effect of a PLL reset, but what does "1. Write all bits marked 1 in all the register maps" affect?

Could you please tell me on which page of the datasheet the register at address 0x90 is described?
ADC register: addresses 0x1 to 0x43. Confirmed on pages 87 onwards.
VCA register: addresses 0xC0 to 0xFD. Confirmed on pages 125 onwards.
DTGC register: addresses 0x1 to 0xB7. Confirmed on pages 146 onwards.
    Regards,

  • Without initialization it may work but not recommended by TI.

Reg 0x90H bit 10 is marked 1 in datasheet - You can ignore this . This is for AFE58JD32LP.
