ADS131B02-Q1: Request for Temperature Coefficient Formula for Gain Error in ADS131B02"

Part Number: ADS131B02-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear Technical Support Team,

I am reaching out regarding the Figure 9-6 (Gain Error vs. Temperature) graph in the ADS131B02 datasheet, as shown in section 9.2.3.

Could you please provide the mathematical equation or model used to derive the temperature coefficient of gain error represented in this graph? Understanding the underlying equation will greatly help in my application to accurately account for gain error over temperature.

Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

  • Hi dabin won,

This graph you pointed out does not directly show the Gain error drift (temperature coefficient of gain error), it shows the Gain error versus temperature for the application described in the section 9.2, however you can calculate the Gain error drift from the data in this graph or the data in the figure 6-8. For your reference, we use the 'box-method' to calculate the Gain error drift that is specified in the datasheet. What this means is that we identify the maximum and minimum gain errors (GE_Max, GE_Min) within the specified temperature range (T_Max, T_Min) and then calculate it with the following equation:

    Gain Error Drift = (GE_Max - GE_Min) / (T_Max - T_Min).

That is how the Gain error drift specification was derived in the datasheet.
