We are developing a device that requires 512 channels of low-current input. The DDC3256 looked great, but we now realize the processor can’t handle the serial data rate. We had missed the part about not being able to reduce the main clock rate by more than 2x. Deserializing is at the moment too complicated because of the DDR data clock. We would go with the older 128-channels part, but it looks obsolete. The DDC264 looks good, but I am concerned that it might be due for retirement. Would the DDC264 be a good choice for a new design?
if you have a good solution for deserializing the ddc3256 I would take that!
