TLV62569: height

Part Number: TLV62569

Tool/software:

Hi,

Our design maximum height is 1.4mm.

We found SOT235 package maximum is 1.45mm, but we meansure sample on hard all about ~1.1mm.

May I know why this tolerance is big?(and it seem same SOT23 package with DDCR? but DDCR only 1.1mm max.)

If we choosing SOT23 (6) can replace directly? PG pin can let it floating, right?

I found SOT23 (6) heigh maximum only 1.1mm.

Thanks!

Jeff

  • Hi,

Add one question, since we want co-use with other part, CFF which is better if we can't choosing recommend 6.8pF, a.non-pop ; b.22pf ;c. 47pF.

Any side effct for CFF change?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Jeff,

    Thanks for using E2E.

The SOT23-5 is a TI standard package with the tolerances in the data sheet. You are measuring 1.1mm which is in the middle between 0.7mm and 1.45mm and represents a nominal height. If you have a absolute max limit of 1.4mm you should use the SOT23-6 package version and let the PG pin floating.

I would recommend to start without the Cff and check the fast transient behavior. If needed you can try out the 22pF cap.

A more detailed discussion on the optimization for stability vs. transient response can be found in SLVA289

    Best regards,
    Sepp

  • Got it, thanks!
