TX7332: Two TX7332 connected to the same AFE channel

Part Number: TX7332

Tool/software:

When a single AFE is wired to two TX7332  (e.g. Ch0 on the AFE connected to Ch0 on TX1 and ch0 on TX2), how do I get a signal only from the one TX at a time?
I do not understand how the TR switch should operate.
Either the crystal (signal) is passed through to the AFE, or it is shorted to ground with the use of the T/R switch for protection during pulsing.
So to get the signal from TX1, I switch that T/R switch on (pass through), and switch TX2 off (shorted to ground).
But this appears to attenuate my signal from TX1.
alternatively I leave them both on.... but then I get cross-talk.
Please can you explain what I am missing in this simplified schematic

  • Hi,

Apart from the above 2 modes of operation mentioned, the T/R switch has one more mode where it can be disabled. In this mode, both the series and shut switches are turned off even after transmit. This can be achieved by writing the register bit TR_SW_DIS_n, where n is from 1 to 32. Please refer to the datasheet section 8.3.5.2.2.1 for more details.

In the above example, if the echo is expected from the Ch0 of TX1, the keep the TR_SW_DIS_1 of TX2 to '1'. If the echo is expected from the second device, write TR_SW_DIS_1 to '1' for the TX1 device.

    Thanks and Regards
