Hi expert,

There is a calibration question from my customer, please help to confirm. Thanks.

  • It is mentioned in the datasheet that either the offset calibration of the Foreground or the Background does not allow input signals, which will cause the calibration to fail (as below red part).
  • Does the ADC12DJ5200RF has to execute a self-calibration every time the ADC's sampling mode is switched? Can we save the calibration values through the registers, for example, we have calibrated the 10G/5G Offset once and save the results in the register, the next time we switch to the corresponding sampling mode, directly use the register values; So that we don't have to close input signal when executes self-calibration.

    An input signal can still be applied during the calibration so long as there is no degradation near DC. However for best results, it is recommended to have no signal applied to the inputs.

    The calibration data can be stored and loaded, yes. See register 0x70 and 0x71 for details on storing the calibration data. The calibration will only hold true for those specific environmental conditions, sample rate, voltage, temp, etc. The calibration values are not guaranteed to perform well over multiple devices so each device will require its own unique CAL_DATA at each of the system's planned operating conditions.
