ADS8688: maximum daisy-chain number

Tool/software:

How many ADS8688s can be daisy-chained?
Since the DEV register only has 2 bits, is the maximum number of ADCs that can be connected 4?

    Hi Okita-san,

    Welcome to our e2e forum!  You can have more than four devices connected in daisy-chain mode.  As you noted though, there are only 2 DEV bits, so you would only be able to positively ID four devices in the chain.  Please review the text on page 36 of the ADS8688 datasheet for more details.
