AFE4960PEVM: AFE4960P EVM

Part Number: AFE4960PEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE4960P

Tool/software:

Good day! I'm reaching out on this technical support forum regarding AFE4960P EVM. I'm hoping to get some professional advice and assistance.

         development environment: 1.Windows OS11 PC

                                                     2.AFE4960P EVM

                                                     3.Bio-Sensing

                                                     4.ECG simulator

        May I ask

  1. Can the exported data be raw data? The currently exported data seems to have undergone unit conversion (converted to mV), and I want to export the original ADC sampled data.
  2. There is a certain difference between the unit conversion amplitude of the plot and the output amplitude of the simulator. Does the GUI need to perform a 1mV calibration? And how to calibrate the mV amplitude for the GUI display?

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post and for any help or suggestions you may provide. I'm looking forward to your responses. Regards.
  • Hi, Apologies for the delay. Our main technical support is out of office currently. I will try to get back to you asap, but we will answer your query next week at the latest.

  • Hello Deng,

Thank you for your patience. Do you still need help with this post?

    Regards,

    Ryan

  • Hello Ryan, Katelyn,

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.I'm looking forward to your responses.

    Regards.

  • Hi Deng,

The raw data is available in the GUI by default. To plot this data in raw ADC codes, choose the "ECG_CHx_RAW" data from the drop-down menu on the left side. Once the raw data is plotted, you can export to a CSV file by right-clicking on the plot window:

There is no such "1-mV" calibration through the EVM GUI. Your patient simulator should be calibrated to output the expected amplitude. There may be some signal loss between your simulator output and the input pins of the AFE. Can you replace the simulator with a known function generator and give a 100-mVp sine wave input? How much deviation are you seeing?

    Regards,

    Ryan

  • Hi Ryan

Thank you for your reply and suggestions. The data I exported only has two columns. Do I need to set up the GUI configuration?
    GUI version is 5.2.0
The amplitude deviation appears to be double about input amplitude. The simulator outputs a 2mV square wave, and the peak-to-peak value of the exported data is approximately 4mV.
The ecg simulator max output 10mV sine, and GUI display and export pp vaule about to 20mV. Output and input amplitude seems to be times deviation.

    Regards,
    Deng
