TX7332: The Issue with the Number of TX7332 Delay Profiles

Part Number: TX7332
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TX73H32

Tool/software:

Hi,

As specified in the technical documentation, the TX7332 can store up to 16 delay profiles. However, when performing ultrasound beamforming, I require at least 128 delay profiles. Additionally, writing delay profile to the Delay Profile Register Map via SPI during the beamforming is too slow to meet real-time requirements.

Could you please advise on any recommended methods or potential solutions to address this issue?

  • Hi,

Thank you for looking into TX7332 for your application. This is an older generation transmit device with less capability in terms of beamforming, due to lack of memory. We have an updated version of the device called TX73H32 which has an inbuilt memory, so that it can support better beamforming. Apart from the inbuilt memory, It has other added features compared to TX7332. I would recommend dropping a mail to support_us_afe_tx@list.ti.com with the details regarding the target application so that we can assist you with the device.

    Thanks and Regards

    Savyan
