Tool/software:
Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on capturing raw data from my ADC and need to calculate the Vpp (Peak-to-Peak) of an input sinusoidal signal. My ADC setup is in its default mode. Could someone guide me on how to approach this?
Thanks in advance!
Fenil
Hi Fenil,
Not sure I understand your question. Are you using the TI ADC EVM and want to know how large of an input signal to apply to the SMA connector?
is that what you mean?

Rob
Hi Rob, Thanks for the quick response.
We have a custom board where we provide a sinusoidal input to the pins (AINP and AINM) and successfully capture the output data from the ADC.
My question is: how can I correlate the ADC output data with different input signals (having the same frequency but different peak-to-peak voltages, Vpp)?
Specifically, how can I use the captured output data to determine the Vpp of the input signal?
Regards,
Fenil
Hi Fenil,
I would capture and display the output data in either a Time Domain or Frequency domain and you can correlate from there.
If you download HSDCPro, this will give you an idea of how the data is represented relative to the analog input signal applied.
