TLV2541: STM32 interfacing

Part Number: TLV2541
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS5295

Tool/software:

Hi TI supporter,

I'm finding the high sampling rate ADC ( >=100Msps) 12 bits can interface with STM32.
I found the SPI ADC but it can not approach to 100Msps. The 100Msps or higher is using the LVDS/ CMOS method and I dont know how to interface with my STM.

Please give your advice.

Thank you,
Long Le

  • Hi Long,

SPI interfaces just cannot maintain the digital signal integrity at those high speeds, so you won't see any ADCs at or beyond 100MSPS with a SPI interface. I don't suspect the STM32 can supply a clock fast enough to your ADC for you to be able to achieve those sampling rates either. Can you repost this question with the ADS5295 part number, so that a member of the high-speed ADC team can take a look at this and help you with your requirements? The TLV2541 device you posted this under only goes up to 200kSPS.

    Regards,
    Joel
