ADS8689: ADS8689 Implementation

We are redesigning an existing design using ADS8689 retaining the existing module specifications.

Following are the specification and Implementation details. 

Input signal range:  1 to 5V, 0 to 5V, 0 to 10V, –10 to 10V, 4 to 20 mA

Maximum rated input: Voltage Input: ±15 V Current Input: ±30 mA

Input impedance: Voltage input 1Mohm, Current Input: 250ohms

ADC specs: Part no. AD7683R, (16Bit, 100Ksps).

 

As we planning to redesign using ADS8689 we need support for Implementing max rated Current input of ±30 mA.

Let us know with Above implementation(Removing Instrumentation and Scaling Opamp) the we can achieve the Absolute Max Input Specs.

    I'm not quite sure what it is you are looking for here.  The ADS8689 has registers that you can use to select the input voltage range, so it should be possible to (at least in part) simplify the signal path on the analog input.  What does the current 'filter Circuit' look like?  Off the top of my head I don't see why necessarily that would need to change to use the ADS8689 instead of the other ADC you noted above.
