Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK04832, LMK1C1104
Tool/software:
Hello,
I am working on interfacing an LMK04832 clock generator to provide the SYNC signal to four ADC3669, as shown in Figure 8-15 of the ADC3669 datasheet.
From my understanding, the LMK04832 can output an LVCMOS signal at 3.3V, but the maximum supported level for the GPIO input on the ADC3669 is DVDD18 + 0.2V (approximately 2.0V). This presents a compatibility issue, as the LMK04832 output exceeds the ADC3669’s allowable input voltage range.
Am I missing something and can I directly use the LMK04832 to sync four ADC3669 devices?
If it is indeed not possible I was thinking of using the LMK1C1104 for level conversion and fan out. My plan is to:
Power the LMK1C1104 with 1.8V, ensuring its output matches the ADC3669's input level requirements.
Drive the LMK1C1104 input with the 3.3V LVCMOS output from the LMK04832.
However, I need confirmation that I am interpreting the LMK1C1104 datasheet correctly:
Will the LMK1C1104 accept a 3.3V LVCMOS input when powered at 1.8V?
Is this a suitable solution for the SYNC signal without causing signal integrity issues (other than the added skew, that is manageable in my opinion)?
I would greatly appreciate your feedback and experiences on this topic.
Thank you!
Erik
