ADC12DJ5200RFEVM: question about JMODE40

Hello,

My customer has a question about JMODE40.
According to the datasheet table 6-28, JMODE40 is 12-Bit, Dual Channel, DDC Bypass and 8 Lanes.

He uses 5200MHs sample rate and 64b/66b encoding.

He thinks lane rate per one lane is calculated as follows.

SerDes rate = 5200MHz x 12bit x 66/60/4 = 1.716Mbps
However, GUI shows different SerDes rate as follows.
Why?

Hello Hirano-San,

For JMODE40 the correct frame format table is table 6-27. Table 6-28 is for JMODE30. JMODE40 is actually a 16 lane mode of the adc so your equation is wrong it should be...

10400 MSPS * 12bit/Sample * (66/60)/16 = 8580 Mbps which matches what is shown in the gui.

Yes, we are currently working on an update to this datasheet.

I suspect by the end of the quarter a revision should be posted.
