ADS5407: Some questions about ADS5407

Hi team,

May I know:

1. Is the ADS5407EVM discontinued? The ADS5402EVM is available on the official website, are these EVMs only inferior to the IC?

2.Can I also control using TI’s GUI if I replace the ADS5402EVM IC with the ADS5407?

3.Are the Control Development Boards TSW1400EVM and TSW1405EVM recommended by Datasheet discontinued? Are there other recommended development boards that work with the ADS5407 validation? Is the GUI available on the

4. TI website only available with the recommended EVB, and if the self-made IC panel does not work with TI's GUI?

    Hi Jenny,

    It might be best to promote the ADC3669 family instead, this family of parts and EVMs are easier to support and we have EVMs available. Please advise on how we can help there.

    Yes, the ADS5407 and TSW1400 EVMs are discontinued.

    Hi Rob,

    Thanks for your response. However, the customer still wants to use the ADS5407.

    May I know if the EVM can only use the GUI with the specific (ADS5402) IC?

    If the customer build and patch the test board for the ADS5407, can they use the GUI to simulate it?

    Do they need to modify the GUI's .ini file?

    Hi Jenny,

    The customer can certainly try the ADS5402 GUI, but unfortunately, I cannot confirm the ADS5402 ADC GUI would work with the ADS5407 device.

    It would be best for the customer to create a Python script or similar to control and configure the ADC appropriately.
